Big Bill Broonzy geboren als William Lee Conley Broonzy (Bolivar County, Mississippi, 26 juni 1898 ? 14 augustus 1958) was een Afro-Amerikaanse blueszanger, songwriter en gitarist. Zijn carrière begon in de jaren 1920, toen speelde hij de country-blues voor een overwegend zwart publiek. Door de jaren '30 en '40 ontwikkelde hij met succes een overgang in stijl naar de meer stedelijke blues sound, ook populair bij het blanke publiek
