Amberian Dawn - The Clouds of Northland Thunder

AMBERIAN DAWN will release their sophmore album "The Clouds of Northland Thunder" in Finland on May 13th. In Japan the album will be released already on April 22nd. UK and central Europe follows in June 2009. The first single from the album will be "He Sleeps In a Grove".

The band has moved forward a lot in the career since their debut album "River of Tuoni". Reviews on their debut album were very positive and they won the Debut Album of 2008-category in Metal From Finland Awards. In early 2009 they also won the Sweden Rock-competition held in Myspace.

Amberian Dawn toured quite a lot in Finland with their debut album and they also had the priviledge to tour Europe for a month with Epica in late 2008.

With the new album some changes will occur since Tuomas Seppälä, the soul and composer of Amberian Dawn changed his instrument from guitar to keyboards. He studied classical piano in the past so moving to keyboards was a natural move. Heidi Parviainen handles the vocals and writing lyrics in Amberian Dawn. Her main source of inspiration comes from mythology and mystique.
