Russian Submarine Type P, 1942
Among the largest of the WW2 Soviet submarines, displaced about 1800 tons submerged. Used mainly as transports; one was sunk in 1941 by a mine, the other 2 were damaged by bombing in port and later repaired. They mounted 2- 4" guns in semi-turrets. Numbers/names were P1 Pravda; P2 Zvezda, and P3 Iskra.
