With the new AC/DC Backtracks plenty of people may be thinking that this is just another re-release of songs they have already heard or own, but Backtracks offers so much more. Besides being housed within a working guitar amp that is designed to mimic the original amplifiers that the band first toured with, there is a rare DVD of a small scale performance at The Circus Krone in Munich, Germany. Along with its array of collectible memorabilia the aura that Backtracks resonates is raw and passionate rock music as its very core. And what better way to express this than the performance at The Circus Krone, where the show is uncluttered with pyrotechnics or stadium style light shows. The band is close to the audience and returning to their roots – playing clubs and theaters where they thrill fans with sweaty, stripped-down shows. This DVD is the epitome of how a band can move a crowd; even some rarities AC/DC hadn"t played in years are thrown in. At the end of each song, every hand is in the air at this tiny venue, a crowd vote, that AC/DC still remembers the small gigs they had to play to get to where they are today.
