Celtic Woman - Believe 2011 (Fox Theatre Atlanta) - Good Version  DVD+CD


Dit concert al eens eerder gespot van de hand van DGPC, die bleek achteraf met de audio out of sync te gaan. Het heeft me altijd dwars gezeten daar ikzelf hevig geinterreseerd ben in een goede versie. Dus bij DGPC in de leer gegaan en een nieuwe convert gemaakt. Het resultaat mag er, mijns inziens, zijn. Goede kwaliteit beeld en geluid zonder brakes met passend menu.


De CD (mp3 - 224Kbps) is van de Dvd.Audiotrack gemaakt en heeft derhalve dezelfde tracklist. De officiele release heeft, als ik het goed gezien heb, 4 tracks minder.

Believe stars vocalists Chloë Agnew and Lisa Kelly, who are original members of the ensemble along with violinist Máiréad Nesbitt, and Lisa Lambe, the troupe's newest member. They performed classic Irish songs ("The Water Is Wide," "Green Grow the Rushes," "A Woman's Heart" and "The Parting Glass"), timeless pop anthems ("Bridge Over Troubled Water"), and inspirational songs ("You'll Never Walk Alone" and "Ave Maria") with their signature Celtic Woman twist, under the musical direction of David Downes.

For the first time ever, this Celtic Woman concert was taped in the United States, at the Fox Theatre in Atlanta, GA. The group's sold-out performances at the former grand movie palace, now a designated National Historic Landmark, featured a dazzling array of visual and musical effects, including a 20-piece orchestra, seven-piece Celtic Woman band, 16-piece Atlanta bag pipe band and lush vocal harmonies from the 10-member Aontas Choir and a 30-member children's choir.
