Taking time off from producing a good deal of what's now the canon of late sixties ad early seventies rock (Music From Big Pink, Bookends, Cheap Thrills...) John Simon cut this debut LP. Like most producers given the chance, he cut loose, producing idiosyncratic takes on rootsy rock that any fan of The Band will quickly take to heart.
