Personal recollections of the struggles and rivalry that existed during those early formative years. The rough and tumble lifestyle awaiting any young hopeful band, many travelling abroad for the first time. Tales of the German club owners who made the bands play for six and seven hours at a stretch and how they, in return used the gigs to rehearse and refine their material. With rare and exclusive footage we are taken back stage to see how John, Paul, George and Ringo are brought together ready to take on the world.

Interviews with them during the record burning sessions in America post John's infamous "bigger than Jesus" remark. Along with archive news footage of the time showing the effect they were having all over the world.

We revisit the Hamburg years with newly recorded material by the Beat Brothers, Tony Sheridan, Ray Young and Howie Casey who having re-formed have recorded a new album and embarked on European tours, giving people a taste of the rock and roll years of the Star Club and Kaiser Keller.
