Het is meer dan vijftig jaar geleden dat Booker T. & The M.G.s de instrumentale single 'Green Onions' uitbracht. En al die tijd is Booker muziek blijven maken. Zijn nieuwe album Sound The Alarm is nu  uit op het label Stax Records.
Sound the Alarm staat vol met gastoptredens van Anthony Hamilton, Mayer Hawthorne en Gary Clarck Jr. Het is volgens Booker een toegankelijk album met veel R&B en saxofoon.
