Recorded in November 2007 around the time of the release of "Revival" (as well advertised from the images on the stage) this Chicago TV studio soundstage set affirms Fogerty's eminence as one of the greats as a very high level consistency performer. As "Premonition" showed, a soundstage set recorded and filmed for a small select audience allows John Fogerty and his band (this version of his group having now toured with him regularly for a few years) to shine both visually and musically. 

The recording mixes well old CCR hits, key Fogerty solo hits and songs from the then new "Revival" CD. Given John was turned 62 when this concert was filmed, his playing is great and even when just very occasionally the voice is not quite what it was (nor after all these years would you expect it to be!) his sheer energy and enthusiasm plus his work level and a very enduring modesty in his stage patter make this a great performance. It is good value clocking in at 1 hour 47 minutes and I suspect having seen him live many times in recent years that very little has been left out from his normal live set. As always Fogerty dominates both vocally and in superb rock'n'roll lead guitar playing throughout the set. I fear I do not share John's enthusiasm for the drumming of Kenny Aronoff who has now played with him the longest of all his band members but ultimately the band is overall very tight and steady in its well rehearsed role, which is just what is needed for many of Fogerty's songs.
