The seas around the southern edge of Britain are some of the most unpredictable in the world. In 
these waters two of Britain’s biggest fishing fleets, Brixham and Newlyn, are locked in battle.

With high fish prices the Atlantic winter is a time when skippers and crews can make a killing, but working in storms reaching force 10 it’s also a time when they risk paying the ultimate price. 

With only the Search and Rescue squadrons to protect them, the fleets are in a fight to land the biggest catch, a fight to stay out in the worst weather, and when disaster strikes, a fight just to stay alive.
