Sinopsis
Tendangan Dari Langit tells a story of a talented high school soccer player, Wahyu, who's father forbid him to pursue his dreams as being a professional. After Wahyu finds out that his dad actually got the chance to try out in national team but failed, Wahyu respects his dad worrying and he stopped dreaming. But an opportunity comes along, when a famous soccer coach sees his talent and invite him to try out in Persema, the team he coached in Malang. Wahyu went to the try outs and practiced hard. He faced a disappointing fact that interfere his dreams. Between his effort to be in the city's team, Wahyu fancies the principal's pretty and smart daughter, Indah, who happens to be his classmate.

Solid cast, encouraging story, East Java culture, great scoring and beautiful views of Bromo mountains are the elements I love about this movie. The scoring helped a lot of the scenes to get the energetic and spirited feeling. I love Sudjiwo Tejo's performance as Darto, Wahyu's dad, where he can portray a once ambitious soccer player but his dreams crushed because of physical limitation. Yosie Kristanto as Wahyu is pretty good as a good kid and talented soccer player. Other supporting players is just good as well, including Wahyu's friends and Indah's bestfriend. Tarzan as Indah's dad is great and surely add a chuckle, as he is a senior comedian. I find Hasan (Agus Kuncoro) as Wahyu's uncle is sometimes overact and Indah (Maudy Ayunda) probably did not pull a lot of effort in her performance.
