The 'A' class were the culmination of British World War II submarine design,and benefitted enormously from wartime lesson and the latest available technology. This book covers the whole class, although it concentrates on Alliance, which has been preserved as part of the Royal Navy Submarine Museum at Gosport, a tip for a citytrip :)
