Synopsis:

First in Volume 13, The Science Ninja Team is in hot pursuit of Katse through a booby-trapped jungle! With death lurking around every corner, they come upon a mysterious Mammoth worshiping cult... with Jinpei as the sacrifice! Next in episode 74, Jun loses her shoe in a battle with the giant Mammoth Mecha and Galactor takes it to their evil laboratories and starts to unravel the secret of the Ninja Team's Birdstyle transformation! Then in episode 75, Seiji finds his big brother Ryu and frantically tells of their father's disappearance at sea! Ryu, distracted by the news of his dad, botches a mission which results in the Science Ninja Team being placed under house arrest! Meanwhile Jumbo Shakora, Galactor's ocean Devil King, forges a path of destruction! In episode 76 the Red Impulse squadron is back on the job as Galactor attacks with a new weapon that can reverse the Science Ninja Team's transformations! Next in episode 77, Gatchaman is sent to protect the president of a country rich in precious resources. But it's all a trap as a squad of Galactor 
Blackbirds attacks with poison gas and radio waves that turn citizens into rampaging bloodthirsty lunatics! Finally in episode 78, Joe is suffering from debilitating nightmares. Any flash of light reduces him to a shivering heap of nerves. When Joe and Ken are sent to investigate a loss of contact with an underwater research institute, they are met with Galactor troops and its mortal combat 5,000 fathoms under the sea!
