Nickelback is een Canadese rockband, opgericht in 1995. De naam is afkomstig van de nickel (geldstuk), die Mike Kroeger vaak als wisselgeld terug moest geven aan klanten bij zijn baan in een koffiehuis. De kern van de band is afkomstig uit Hanna (Alberta). De groep werkt nu vanuit Vancouver.
