On the day that England took on Scotland in the 1966 European Championship, Daniel Cotton is trying to get his Dad and brother talking again. However when the three are caught up in a IRA explosion in a local pub, everyone’s lives are changed.

Season 1, Episode 1
The IRA detonate a bomb in a pub that Charlie, his father Samuel and brother Robbo are watching the 1966 European Football Championship final in between Scotland and England. All three escape injury. When Daniel rescues a single mum called Claire in the blast and drives her home, he soon realises he recognises the area and was in fact adopted when he was aged 5. As he returns home to his wife Claire and kids Charlie and Louise, he begins to feel restless in his day to day routine.
