“The German Greek band with Mr Liapakis at the vocals department continues to offer great excitements for the friend of classic heavy metal. More influenced from the British than the German scene, they play guitar orientated heavy metal. The influences from IRON MAIDEN and JUDAS PRIEST are now well implemented at the bands sound. So they produce their own variety of vintage power metal. Hammering drums and great guitar melodies, are the main ingredients of these album, The one thing that takes them one step above the typical German/Italian power metal crew is the excellent voice of Liapakis. A mix of Halford, Dickinson and Dio who tries a more aggressive approach in parts his singing. In places he reaches the territories of bands like HEATHEN, TESTAMENT, WARDOG with great success, but the melody is still there. Listen to songs like "Evil empires", to feel the aggression, or "savage souls", a melodic example with all the 80s influences transforming to a 21st century power beast. I am not he biggest fan of the genre anymore, but MYSTIC PROPHECY, are thousand times better than bands like STRATOVARIUS who carry only their name in our days and their creativity has reached zero. Make yourself a happy power metal fan and listen to this album.
