Post Description

The Lau and The Scene with guests and string quartet
2014-06-17
Heineken Music Hall
Dutch Masters Audience Recording

Had some hesitation to bring this one to you all.
The show is not complete (missed the last two songs I noticed afterwards), just waited a few days to see if something pupped up.
And the band sings in Dutch
But the songs kept haunting me since the show. It just has to get out there

Never had such sad reason to go to a show.
The Lau, the writer/singer of the band is incurable sick with cancer and did this farewell show in Amsterdam.
There was a severe tension in the air, people crying all around at numerous moments in the show.
An emotional rollercoaster.
The first track grabbed everyone by the throat. It is from a just released album,
deals with all the different emotions concerning the end of life.
Striking lyrics like "death is haunting me" and "Dreams don't belong to death"

Lineage: Edirol R-09 + Sound Proffesional SP-CMC-8 Mics.
