"The Farthest Fringes", the follow-up to Hollan's critically acclaimed debut CD, "A Distant Light", explores a bit more of a melodic, traditionally structured song-like approach on several tracks, while much of the CD showcases Hollan's expanding sound design skills on some deeply rich, ambient space worlds. A year in the making, these eight new tracks are wonderfully elevated to a higher listening quality through the expert mastering wizardry of sound engineer and ambient artist, Chad Kettering, with whom Hollan worked closely in Chad's studio at Soniclayers Mastering. As on Hollan's first CD, the packaging design and layout was done by Hollan himself, a professional computer graphics artist earning a portion of his livelihood in the film and animation industry.

"The Farthest Fringes" represents encouraging growth in Hollan's musical composing abilities and is sure to please electronic space music fans everywhere. Audio Mixers: Chad Kettering; Hollan Holmes.
