Linda Ronstadt’s music always featured an incredible selection of song written for her by a host of amazing song writers, couple with stand out cover versions of rock classics. Her show from Boston on December 6, 1976, 37 years ago today, which is captured in this HQ audience recording, is no exception. Hasten Down The Wind and Someone To Lay Down Beside me, for example, were written for her by then unknowns Warren Zevon and Karla Bonoff, respectively. The set list also includes such well known Ronstadt covers of That Will Be The Day (Buddy Holly), Love Is A Rose (Neil Young), When Will I Be Loved (Everly Brothers), Tunbling Dice (Rolling Stones) and one of her signature tunes, Desperado (The Eagles).
