Robert Nesta (Bob) Marley (Nine Miles, 6 februari 1945 – Miami, 11 mei 1981) was een Jamaicaans reggae-artiest. Hij wordt ook The King of Reggae genoemd. Hij was een van de belangrijkste verantwoordelijken voor de doorbraak van reggae buiten Jamaica en gold tevens als belangrijk voorvechter van het rastageloof. Bob Marley had tijdens de jaren 70 over de hele wereld enorme reggaehits, als No Woman, No Cry en I Shot the Sheriff. Hij bracht bekende reggaealbums uit als Exodus en Uprising. Samen met zijn vrouw Rita Marley is hij het symbool voor de rastafari-beweging.
