Post Description
The best thing about so many artists self-releasing their music is that we get to hear musicians at their most embryonic stage.
This is definitely the case as I listen to Audience Of Actors, the name of what I can only assume is a one-man-band from Chicago from the very limited information I could dig up on him.
The first thing that caught my ear was the man's very pleasant singing ability. He has a tired, sleepy drawl which can definitely carry a tune. Think Jakob Dylan of The Wallflowers for a reference if you need one. He is backed by some shabby processed sounding beats and instrumentation, but his voice really is the focus. It sounds as if he is singing directly into your ears while a band plays somewhere in the distance.
