Black Rose - Black Rose (1980)
Front & Back Cover Scans (300 dpi)
320kb mp3
Featuring Cher on lead vocals, Les Dudek and Ron "Rocket" Ritchotte on guitars and backing vocals, Gary Ferguson on drums, Michael Finnigan on keyboards and backing vocals, Warren Ham on backing vocals, and Trey Thompson on bass, the band Black Rose released their one and only album in 1980 on Casablanca. It was produced by James Newton Howard, who also played additional keyboards and synthesizers. David Paich and Steve Porcaro of Toto also make an appearance.
Though considered a commercial failure, the album was Cher's first foray into the harder rock sound that would set the stage for her successful Geffen albums several years later. Reissued on CD in the late 90's with different cover art, Black Rose is now out of print.
